Maluma - Hawái (Official Video) - Youtube
Maluma's new video on YouTube is a big success and has several reasons for being so. The reggaeton and pop singer presents a 4:19-long production with a great staging and a story of a love that does not prosper.
The 26-year-old Colombian artist releases his fifth album Papi Juancho in 2020. The piece has 22 songs, including the summer hit "Hawaii". In fact, the audiovisual production of the song is one of the most viewed videos on YouTube.
Hawaii begins with a reference to “Felices los 4”, Maluma's previous video about the famous cut of the F.A.M.E. album, where we see the artist with a renewed look in his hair, sitting at the counter of a bar remembering a woman who broke her heart and left with someone else. The presence of the girl will appear repeatedly and we see how the man suffers for not being able to be by his side.
After the memories, the action takes us to the woman's marriage to the other man who seems to have conquered her heart. A heartbroken Maluma shows up at the wedding and ends up getting beaten up by event security members for disrupting the ceremony.
Towards the end, and after presenting images of the moment when the couple between Maluma and the woman broke down, the young woman is seen going to meet the singer after the blows he received. The girl is worried about him and it even seems that she still has feelings for Maluma. The young man knows that all is lost, turns around and leaves. The video clip is directed by Jessy Terrero.
When we watch Maluma's new video we find a production that accompanies in a very good way the lyrics and the story of what Hawaii tells us. The climate of heartbreak suffered by the character of the Colombian singer is very well built.
The new audiovisual piece by the famous interpreter also aroused controversy because the young man comes from a love break with Natalia Barulich, his partner in real life. Rumors say that Barulich left him to form a couple with the famous Brazilian soccer player Neymar, until now a friend of Maluma.
Both parties maintained that neither the lyrics nor the video from Hawaii refer to the facts that mark the rumors about the current situation of the singer, the model and the soccer player.
