The video clip for “Laugh Now, Cry Later” is an excellent production shot both outdoors and indoors. It has important references to sports and sports life in general, either due to the presence of Nike (part of the filming is carried out within a commercial premises of the sports firm) and due to the special participation of stars such as basketball player Kevin Durant or the players of American football Odell Beckham Jr. and Marshawn Lynch. Additionally Drake performs a variety of workouts throughout the clip. The singer is seen riding a golf car, riding a jet ski in the water, or practicing exercises underwater.
Although it is not a colorful clip, most of the lighting is dark and the scenes are shot at night, the new Drake video has a captivating effect on the viewer and accompanies the rhythm and tone of the good song of the Canadian interpreter. It also has a moment filmed with night vision that is really surprising.
Laugh Now, Cry Later presents an interesting mix of rhythms and sounds that even merge more than correctly with the contributions made by rapper Lil Durk.
The release was not out of the controversy since in one of the lines that Lil Durk pronounces it seems that he refers to Tekashi 6ix9ine, whom he accuses of "rat" because of the conflict in which Tekashi told on Instagram intimacies of the world of rappers.
Drake brings a very interesting production, with a mixture of sounds and an outstanding atmosphere between night and sports.
